Catha built its governance system because ordinary AI could help with individual tasks, but it could not reliably scale the business. The free resources in this center document what we learned while building and operating governed AI inside a real construction company.
We needed AI to operate at scale, not just answer prompts.
Catha began with a single primary revenue lane: representing subcontractors into builders. ChatGPT helped with target research, but the process was not scalable. We looked across major LLMs and tools for a reliable operating answer, did not find one that solved the control problem, and built the Governance Cage ourselves. The Cage sits outside the model and acts as the company’s AI constitution: authority, permissions, approvals, traceability, monitoring and recovery remain governed while models and tools can change.

The model is replaceable. The company’s authority is not.
Catha’s Governance Cage is separate from ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, Gemini or any other model. It defines the operating rules that belong to the company. A company can change models without silently changing who may authorize a payment, send a customer communication, modify a record, retry an uncertain action or approve an exception.
Use AI where it creates value. Govern it everywhere it acts.
Catha helps construction companies identify, build and manage AI workflows while keeping business authority in human hands.
